Counselling, Psychotherapy and Coaching

I have over 20 years’ experience as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist.  I have run a large university counselling and disability support service, worked in a Harley Street clinic, provided services to professional sports teams, and now have my own private practice.   I offer online sessions to individuals, both privately and via most health insurance schemes.

I am integratively trained as a Counselling Psychologist but have undergone further studies in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Life Coaching. I am chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I live in the countryside with my partner, and young dog. I am a keen walker and swimmer and am interested in all areas of mental and physical health.

getting started

It can feel hard to make the first step towards getting help, so I offer a free initial chat. This is to see if it feels right for you to book an assessment appointment where we can look in more depth at what you want to achieve and work out if I am the right person to help.  If we agree to work together, we will arrange virtual meetings, usually weekly but this can vary depending on need.

how it works

Sessions are online at a mutually suitable time and last 40-45 minutes. Although what we talk about is up to you, I will ask questions that will hopefully help you to think and feel about things differently, and together we can come up with actions that you could take to improve things.  We will review our work regularly to make sure we are on track to achieving your goals.

fees

I typically charge medical insurance rates which tend to be £100-200 per session. However, I believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to getting the help you need so please do contact me to discuss a negotiation on fees.
